Too Many Angels

New Poems

Welcome to the "really" New Poems page. Haven't been able to post to this website since July of 2008, but since my host is Mac friendly now, it's great to be back!

This page contains:

Palindrome

Mom, Dad, wow

Do you know how

To spot a palindrome?

Bob loves to play

And shout out yay

Each time Sis sees one

A race car is fast

And nurses run

Palindromes are so much fun!

Backward and forward

They’re just the same

How many palindromes

Can you name?

(Can you find the 9 palindromes in this

poem?  Hint:  My favorite is "yay.")

I have a new favorite palindrome.

Competition

I will always do my best
Will not worry ‘bout the rest
Won’t consider life a race
I already know my "place"

If you disapprove of this
Adding demands to my list
I will always do my best
Will not worry ‘bout the rest

Your approval is no prize
I will cross the great divide
Doing my best every time
We don't need a finnish line

For in life there is no end
We begin again, again
I will always do my best
Will not worry ‘bout the rest

Keep the Faith

It isn't denial
To change the dial
When troubles
Are in view

By moving forward
Knowing that faith
Holds promise
And solutions, too.

Feel

Be yourself
Be sincere
Sharing laughter
Spreading cheer

Smile awhile
Listen, too
Then feel how life
Responds to you

Your Heart Knows

A hug from the heavens
And treasures untold
Are there for the asking
When your arms unfold

Leaving your heart open
So it can receive
Things kissed by the angels
And made up of dreams

Turn from your sorrows
Reach for your bliss
Your heart knows exactly
How to do this

Keep the Change

Face value sometimes has none
When the commodity is pain
By shifting your attention
You have so much to gain

Life doesn’t have a magic shield
To protect from influence of others
You can absorb their negative field
Or you can move on to your druthers

Little by little, one by one
Degrees of focus change
You may stand in the line of fire
But, you’ve moved on to better things

The Sharing Song

I love the song inside my head
It sometimes makes me dance
I will share this song with you
But, only if you ask

For, songs can be a nuisance
At uninvited times
I may not wish to dance to yours
Or expect that you’ll dance to mine
